Deaths in Custody
Scott Brown McMillan, 43, a prisoner at HMP Shotts has died. He was convicted at Edinburgh High Court on 25 May 2004. Police Scotland have been advised and the matter was reported to the Procurator Fiscal. A Fatal Accident Inquiry will be held in due course.
Lee Tortolano, 27, a prisoner at HMP Kilmarnock has died. He was remanded at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on 10 January 2019. Police Scotland have been advised and the matter was reported to the Procurator Fiscal. A Fatal Accident Inquiry will be held in due course.
