Family and friends
We recognise the profound impact that imprisonment can have on family life, particularly for children. That is why supporting and maintaining meaningful family contact is one of our key priorities.
Raise a concern
A dedicated phone line is now in place in every prison for anyone to raise concerns about someone in custody. The line is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Our commitment to change
We are delivering a comprehensive programme of reform in response to Fatal Accident Inquiry (FAI) recommendations, embedding systemic improvements across the SPS.
Victims of crime
We recognise that we have responsibilities not simply for those in our custody but equally importantly, the wider community.
