Deaths in Custody

Alexander Birrell, 66, a prisoner at HMP Perth has died. He was convicted at Edinburgh High Court on 24^th October 1991. Police Scotland have been advised and the matter will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal. A Fatal Accident Inquiry will be held in due course.

Katie Allan, 21, a prisoner at HMP & YOI Polmont has died. She was convicted at Paisley Sheriff Court on 5^th March 2018. Police Scotland have been advised and the matter will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal. A Fatal Accident Inquiry will be held in due course.
