HMP Low Moss donate to Glasgow Children's Hospital

First Line Manager Lucy Ridgeway and Officer Natalie Parker visited Glasgow Children’s Hospital to donate unused toys and books from HMP Low Moss visits area. They were welcomed by Asiyah Ahmad the hospital events co-ordinator who accepted the donations on behalf of the children.  Lucy and Natalie were shown around the new Children’s Hospital, getting to see the amazing work that happens in the hospital. 

The highlight of their tour was being shown around the teddy hospital, this gave a great insight into the fantastic work doctors and nurses do to break down the fear barriers of children who are about to undergo procedures. Having the chance to show how things will be done on their teddy bears and having the opportunity to interact and bandage them up. It is fantastic that the donations from HMP Low Moss are going to be put to great use and will help put a smile on sick children’s faces.
