SPS attended a public meeting on 13 November 2023 to discuss concerns raised by local residents to HMP & YOI Stirling.
During the meeting we agreed to provide regular updates regarding noise reporting and measures implemented to reduce any disturbance experienced by our neighbours.

A prototype noise reducing window surround has now been installed at HMP & YOI Stirling. Initial feedback has been positive and will form part of our assessment during a planned testing period.
Further updates will be provided once available.
As of Thursday (16th October), contractors will be on site installing the prototype window projection, outlined in the below correspondence, as part of our commitment to reducing noise omitting from HMP & YOI Stirling. Site preparations works for this installation were completed last week.
This initial work will be concluded by the end of the week (Friday 17th October) and will allow a period of assessment of efficacy before the project is finalised and additional installation begins.
