Why become a Prison Officer?

As a Prison Officer you'll be supporting those in our care to desist from offending, and will be making a real difference to your community. The work our Prison Officers carry out is really meaningful, and no two days are the same.

We recognise that our environment is unique, and as such we don't expect applicants to have prior prison based experience. We look for people who share our values, and are committed to making a difference.

If you are a team player, have great communication skills, are open minded and able to build relationships easily, you might already have the skills to be a great Prison Officer.
