Deaths in Custody

Leonard Andrew Welsh, 63, a prisoner at HMP Edinburgh has died. He was convicted at Edinburgh High Court on 13^th December 2004. Police Scotland have been advised and the matter will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal. A Fatal Accident Inquiry will be held in due course.

Zach Aaron Banner, 22, a prisoner at HMP Inverness has died. He was remanded at Tain Sheriff Court on 29^th December 2017. Police Scotland have been advised and the matter will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal. A Fatal Accident Inquiry will be held in due course.
