HMP Greenock Raise Funds for Dreams Come True

In May this year staff and prisoners at HMP Greenock staged a 24 hour Walk, Run, Row and Cycle challenge to raise money for Dreams Come True Charity, along with Barclay’s Bank. The cheque was recently handed over to Barclay’s Bank who kindly doubled the money raised.

Greenock 24hr Challenge

The Health and Fitness Centre at HMP Greenock staged the ambitious challenge to raise money for Dreams Come True on the 21st May. They covered the equivalent in miles of the distance between John O’Groats and Land’s End(and back). Both staff and prisoners that have varying levels of fitness participated in the event and all money raised was donated to Dreams Come True who have identified Clare, who has Cerebral Palsy, with all money raised going to buy her equipment. Clare can’t use her hands to play with toys. With help, she can press switches and she can use her eyes to control some items in the sensory room at school.

A cheque totaling £3468.66 was handed over at a presentation at the end of June.
