This Annual Delivery Plan (ADP) describes the programme of service development and improvement for the year. In this ADP, we detail the Essential Actions we will undertake in 2019/20.

There is a revision of the Flexible Working Policy due to changes in legislation contained within the ‘Children and Families Act 2014’, which is part of the government’s ‘Modern Workplaces’ consultation planning for a culture of flexible, family-friendly employment practises.

To set out in a single document the refreshed SPS governance arrangements in line with recommendations made in Audit Scotland’s Review of Governance Arrangements Report (February 2015) and in an independent report by Polley Solutions Limited SPS Governance Review 2015-16 (February 2016).

The purpose of the policy review was to develop an updated and evidence-based corporate policy position which would clearly articulate an updated intent and how this would be achieved, consistent with the obligations of SPS as a public body and as a prison service.
