Staff Networks
The Scottish Prison Service Currently has three Equality and Diversity networks for staff to join. They are:
PRISM - LGBT Network
Inspire - Disability Network
INSPIRE exists to advance disability equality in the Scottish Prison Service and to foster a working environment which recognizes and valves the contribution of disabled staff and to ensure equality of opportunity for all so that everyone can achieve their potential.
INSPIRE aims to:
- Provide peer support and guidance to disabled staff, those seeking advice and those with an interest in disability equality and inclusion.
- Raise awareness of disability equality and ensure that SPS as an employer, and our policies and procedures, enshrine equality of opportunity for disabled staff.
- Share knowledge and learning by bringing together internal and external networks, organisations and professionals to create a pro-active, visible and empowered network.
