Glenochil is sited near Tullibody in central Scotland and holds long-term adult male prisoners with High, Medium and Low supervision security classifications. Prisoners are not committed to HMP Glenochil direct from the courts but are admitted following conviction, from other prisons, principally Barlinnie and Edinburgh. Glenochil provides a range of opportunities for addressing offending behaviour and for work and education.

Handing in Property All property for prisoners must be handed in at the vestibule before the visit. Only property accompanied by a pro-forma will be accepted. A pro-forma is sent out by a prisoner detailing the property he is permitted to receive.
Handing In Money
If you wish to hand in money for a prisoner, you can do this on arrival at the vestibule or at any other SPS establishment. There is a maximum limit of £60 that can be handed in at one time. Please wait for receipt.
Incoming Mail
If you bring any mail with you for a prisoner, place it in the mailbox in the vestibule area. Please ensure that you give as much detail as possible on the envelope, e.g. name, number, location. Do not include any cash or valuables with your mail.
