Visit Booking
At present Visit sessions can only be booked by the prisoner completing a visit request form which is then confirmed and booked if available. The prisoner would then receive confirmation and inform his visitor of the visit time and date.
Family Visits
Family Visits are offered at Glenochil to encourage and maintain contact between prisoners and their children. They are available as shown on the table overleaf, and consist of one 2 hour session per month. For more information on Family Visits please contact an FCDO.
Visit Room Facilities
The visit room can accommodate up to 30 visits at any one time. There is a well stocked canteen offering a wide range of drinks and snacks. There are toilet facilities available in the waiting room.
Access to Visit Room
There are several parking spaces reserved for disabled visitors at the entrance to the prison.
The visit room is accessed by a set of stairs although for any visitors with mobility issues there is a lift.
If any visitor has a disability or any special needs and requires assistance, please inform us prior to your attendance, of any adjustments or support you may require and our staff will endeavour to help.

Agents visits are booked in half hour slots
Monday- Friday 09.30 -11.30
13.00 – 15.30

RULE AND EXPECTATIONS
Glenochil aims to provide a comfortable, safe environment in which contact with family members can be maintained and enjoyed.
On entry to Glenochil all visitors must provide photographic identification in the form of a passport, photographic driving licence or a Citizencard I.D. From 1st July 09 visitors must provide proof of address. This could be a utility bill.
For all visitors who cannot provide photographic I.D they will be given a 1 month period, max.3 visits to obtain it. Citizencard applications are available at Glenochil and are provided free of charge.
All visitors entering Glenochil may be searched in accordance to visit rules. A visitor may be asked to remove their outer garments before being required for a rub down search which involves the visitor being given an outer clothing, hands on search by a member of prison staff.
Visitors may also note that it is SPS policy that a Passive Drug dog may be used when required to prevent illegal substances entering HMP Glenochil.
No personal property is allowed in the Visit Room. All property should be stored in the free lockers available in the vestibule area. Only small amounts of cash are allowed for purchases from the canteen.
