How To Book Family/Friend Visit:

All visits are arranged and booked by the prisoner who retains control over his visit allocation. Should you wish to arrange a visit with a prisoner you are advised to write to him/her at the above address including your phone number where possible?

How To Book Agent Visit:

Agents should book visits at least 24 hours in advance, where possible, by calling direct to 01463229028.

Visiting Guidelines:

Two forms of identification are required, one of which must be photographic. Visitors must turn up a minimum of 15 minutes before the advertised session to participate in security admission procedures.

All visitors to this prison are subject to a search procedure and to a photographic record being taken.

Please note that all visitor areas are covered by CCTV and images recorded for security purposes.

No telephones or PDA devises can be taken into the prison and must be left at the gate.

No items can be passed to prisoners within the visit room.

Parking Facilities:

There are no parking facilities for visitors

Disabled Facilities:

Access is wheelchair friendly.

An Induction Loop hearing assistance facility is available.

Handing In Property/Money:

Property being handed in can only be accepted if accompanied by a property request sent out by the prisoner. Only items on the form can be accepted.

Money for any SPS establishment can be handed in at the gate. Unfortunately we are unable to accept money for the privately run prisons, Addiewell and Kilmarnock.

Posting In Property/Money:

Postal Orders and cheques sent in for prisoners should be made payable to " HM Prison Inverness" and have the prisoners name and prison number annotated on the reverse.
