APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS TO THE VISITING COMMITTEE Click here ___________________________________________________   NO ESCAPE FROM DISABILITY EQUALITY   Capability Scotland and the Scottish Prison Service launch initiative to stamp out discrimination in Scotland’s jails   One of the country’s leading disability organisations has teamed up with the Scottish Prison Service (SPS) to make sure that disability equality extends to all parts of Scottish society – even our jails.   Capability Scotland’s Equality Unit has been working with the SPS to develop two new publications which offer guidance to staff, prisoners and visitors on how to communicate effectively and appropriately with disabled people. We achieve this by creating a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP).
