Scottish Prison Service Headquarters

The Scottish Prison Service Headquarters is based at the Gyle to the west on the outskirts of Edinburgh. The Headquarters is home to five Directorates, each with their particular business responsibility.

Calton House is situated on the South Gyle Industrial Estate on the west side of Edinburgh.

Directions

From the North (via Forth Road Bridge) Leave the A90 at Barnton Roundabout by the A902. Proceed to the Maybury Roundabout. Turn right on to the A8 (then keep the left hand lane) and before the Gogar Roundabout take the first exit on the left for South Gyle Broadway. Proceed straight over the next roundabout at Morrison’s Petrol Station. At the next roundabout turn right and then right again at the next roundabout at the Royal Bank of Scotland. Take the first right into Redheughs Rigg. SPS HQ is at the very bottom of the road on the left hand side. Parking is available in the Visitors' car park at the front of the building.

From the South Take the City Bypass to its terminal at Gogar Roundabout; leave by the 3rd exit on the left for South Gyle Broadway. Proceed straight over the next roundabout at Morrison’s Petrol Station. At the next roundabout turn right and then right again at the next roundabout at the Royal Bank of Scotland. Take the first right into Redheughs Rigg. SPS HQ is at the very bottom of the road on the left hand side. Parking is available in the Visitors' car park at the front of the building.
