Violence Prevention Programme
The Violence Prevention Programme (VPP) is an intervention for high risk violent offenders that we obtained from the Correctional Services of Canada and implemented over here.
The VPP targets offenders with a history of recurring violent behaviour and that often have difficulty controlling their emotions. It is an intensive programme for offenders at the highest risk of violent re-offending.
It consists of 94 two-hour sessions with each group consisting of a maximum of ten participants.
The programme is delivered by an Interventions Officer and a Psychologist.
The following gives a brief description of the 10 modules involved in the programme:

- Module 3: Anger Control 12 sessions of Anger Management
- Module 4: Solving Problems Similar to Cog. Skills
- Module 5: Social Attitutes Targets pro-violent attitudes
- Module 6: Positive Relationships Protective Factor
- Module 7: Confliction Lifestyles Assertivesness: dealing with others
- Module 8: Positive Lifestyles Drugs, lack of goals
- Module 9: Self Control To reach goals
